He was a 1948 graduate of Columbian High School and received a bachelor of humanities and history degree from Kansas State University in 1966.
Henry served in the U.S. Army for 26 years and retired from service Sept. 30, 1977. During his military career he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal with 1OLC, Army of Occupation Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with X YR Device, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, four overseas bars, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm and Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC). He served in the United States, Germany, Thailand, Vietnam, P.I. and Guam, and his last overseas assignment was in Japan.
He was a retired horse owner and lessor. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, AMVETS, DAV, USTA and TROA. He was a former member of Tiffin Masonic bodies, Moose Club, American Legion and VFW. Henry enjoyed fishing and was a competitor and master shooter, placing at the Camp Perry National Rifle Matches.

Joseph was born in Pa., and along with his parents and all his siblings migrated to Fairfield Co., Ohio when he was aged 13 years.
Joseph was a very large man measuring 6'2" tall and over 200 pounds. He was always in demand for clearing land, moving rocks and timbers and helping his neighbors. He had very little formal education but could read and write and is reported to have had a wonderful singing voice.
His first marriage was to Catherine Bibler Hite, the widow of Martin Hite. They married in the autumn of 1826 and she died in Aug of 1827 it would appear from complications of child birth as their son Levi died about three weeks after his mother.
His second marriage was to Elizabeth Tussing 1807-1846.
Elizabeth was born in Rockingham Co., Va. To them were born 6 children:
Mary 1831, Reuben 1833, Sarah 1834, Isaac W. 1836, Amos 1839, and Joseph 1842.
In 1849 Joseph with wife Nancy left Fairfield Co., Ohio to move to his farm in Seneca Co., Ohio which he had purchased in 1837.
His third marriage was to Nancy Good in 1848 in Fairfield Co., Ohio and they were the parents of one child: Noah Keller born in 1849-1928.
